WHAT STABILISER

Tear-Away Non-wovens

When to use?
A special fibre-structure technology facilitates horizontal, vertical and diagonal tearing of  nonwovens and guarantees complete removal after embroidery, without leaving residues. The fast tear-away feature saves time and results in higher productivity during embroidery processes. And the smooth, neatly torn edges along finished embroideries increase their wearability!

Processing Recommendations:
Hoop the base fabric with the nonwoven in an
embroidery hoop.

Embroider the design.

Remove the hoop and carefully tear away the nonwoven.

You can also use tearaway with a temporary adhesive like 505 in which case you just hoop easy tearaway and spray with temp adhesive before placing the item to be embroidered on the top, use instead of iron /

Iron on

Stretch fabrics tend to get distorted during embroidering – that’s why an iron-on embroidery nonwoven is a must. The ironed-on nonwoven gives knit materials and fabrics with a high percentage of elastane a higher degree of firmness and stability and prevents fabric distortion during stitching.

Processing Recommendations:
Iron the nonwoven on the wrong fabric side before embroidering
After finishing the embroidery, remove the nonwoven through tearing or cutting away.

Solvy Water Soluble Film - The softer and bulkier the fabric, the easier stitches disappear in the material, resulting in unsightly embroideries. With SOLVY every single stitch turns out brilliantly, and even intricate patterns with most detailed embroideries are stitched needle-sharp. The trick is a water-soluble foil that is placed on the fabric prior to embroidering and then washed out without leaving any residues. Even elastic knit and towelling fabrics can be embroidered with ease and precision. SOLVY can also be used as fabric backing when both sides of the embroidery are visible – for neat results, e.g. on scarves or towels.

For soft pile fabrics where highly-detailed embroideries would disappear/sink into the material.

For items where both fabric sides are visible and residues of nonwovens are unwanted.

Solvy Fabric

SolvEmbroideries need stability – stabilizers should, however, be invisible in a completed design. SOLVY FABRIC is the perfect stabilizer for all materials that can be washed. Simply use it as fabric backing during embroidering and dissolve it in water after finishing the design. It completely washes away. Perfect for stabilizing shirt and blouse fabrics, jersey and denim. Indispensable when working with sheer curtain fabrics and voile  and for freestanding lace .

Hooping:

Back your fabric with SOLVY FABRIC and hoop it.

After Embroidering:
Remove the backing and tear away all excess SOLVY FABRIC.

Washing:
The backing residues will completely wash away
during the first wash.

Dissolving Speed:
SOLVY FABRIC dissolves in cold water. The dissolving process clearly speeds up with increased water temperatures.

Dissolving Times:
20°C - approx. 3 minutes
25°C - approx. 2 minutes
30°C - approx. 1 minute
40°C - approx. 15 seconds

 Cutaway

The cut-away range has been developed for use on difficult fabrics or difficult designs. An ideal application may be polo shirt and knitted fabrics. Also, ideal for designs that have a very sharp fonts or small lettering. Good for designs with borders to stop distortion.
